This is one of the pages I want as part of the urban tour. The point I am trying to make here is that dense cities can be livable.
Other point to make: 1. Density does not mean undifferentiated. A city which is homogeneous at any density will be relentless. In fact, given the same regional area it is best to plan for a denser city to keep local resources intact: rivers, lakes, wetlands, hills with views, etc.
2. Density does not mean high-rises. Cities can become very dense at six stories, such as central Florence, or even at 3-4 stories, sich as Venice.
